Consortium

Safeguard-DH is run by a consortium of three organizations from Serbia:

KreativaLab Belgrade (represented by Bogdan Trifunović, president); responsible for designing and implementing the institutional ORRI strategy, coordinating all activities, and ensuring methodological rigor across the project.

ETIK.AI Novi Sad (represented by Tamara Zavišić, founder); contributing to the development of AI foresight roundtables, scenario-building exercises, and legislation-aligned components of the ORRI tool (AI Act, GDPR, copyright).

Library “Milutin Bojić” Belgrade – BMB (represented by Jovica Krtinić, director, and Andrija Sagić, senior librarian), the primary beneficiary institution where the ORRI strategy will be piloted. This library will lead the internal transformation process, including governance updates, staff training, workflow integration, and community-engagement practices.

About

SAFEGUARD-DH: Responsible Digitalization and Ethical Governance for AI Futures in Digital Heritage empowers heritage institutions to become ethical stewards in an era of rapid digital transformation. While artificial intelligence (AI) increasingly influences how archives, libraries, museums and other cultural collections are digitized, accessed, and reused by researchers, practitioners, and the public, the ethical, legal, and societal implications of these technologies remain underexplored in the academic and heritage sectors. This project addresses the growing need for responsible governance and public trust in AI usage by implementing a strategy for Open and Responsible Research and Innovation (ORRI) within cultural institutions.
